Welding is an essential part of our service – from a simple repair of a cast iron stator foot to complex hard facing of an aggregate auger. Here at CD Electric, we employ MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes to meet our customer’s needs.
At CD Electric, we have decades of experience in welding.
We understand the importance of getting your plant back up and running as quickly as possible, and we are committed to providing our customers with quality service at a fair price.
TURNING
We can safely handle material as small as 1/4 in. diameter, as large as 52 in. diameter, and as long as 23 ft. and maintain a +/- .001 in. tolerance.
MILLING
We can safely handle material within a 72″ x 60″ x 18″ envelope and a weight up to 8,000 Ibs. We also have full axis DRO (digital readout) on our largest lathe, enabling us to achieve +/- .001 in. tolerances.
FINISHING
Surface and cylindrical grinding can increase precision in the shop to +/- .0005 in. Our surface grinding material envelope is 24″ x 12″ x 10″ and our cylindrical material envelope is up to 16 in. o.d. and 64 in. long.
PRESSING
We have several presses to accommodate several configurations, up to and including a 400-ton unit with a material handling length limit of 8.5 ft. and a diameter limit of 8.0 ft.
WELDING
We weld steel, aluminum, cast iron and more with Stick , MIG , and TIG processes.
